The Brandon Agency social media team is in training for the next four weeks.

The social team is currently immersed in week two of Social Media Examiner’s “Social Media Success Summit” a mega digital marketing conference that is presented entirely online.

The first week has been incredibly knowledgeable, so we can’t wait to see what the next couple of weeks have to teach us.

One of the great tips I’ve been hearing over and over again is how important blogs are in marketing plans. They’re perfect in that they are your own unique distribution channel that gives you full control. The downside is they can be tedious to keep up with, especially when you are pumping them out a couple times a week.

On top of that, it’s a constant struggle to come up with new topics people actually are interested in. This brings me to Keyword Search Tools.

Keyword search tools are amazing hidden gems you probably aren’t using. Coming up with blog topics can be pretty rough sometimes. It’s easy to just fall into the “I don’t know what to write about” rut. This is where keyword planners can save you the frustration of endless brainstorming. These are great tools that allow you to search topics and ideas based on what people are searching for online. Google’s Keyword Planner only requires that you login to Adwords with your Google account for access. Pick a topic to search and the Planner will generate a list of subtopics based on Google search volume.

Keywordtool.io is also another great tool that is similar to Google’s that will actually include other search engines like Bing, as well as YouTube and App Store searches.

Using a Keyword Search Tool is really a no-brainer when you think about it. Obviously the topics people want to know more about online are a good place to start when coming up with a blog topic.
