On Friday, June 23, The Brandon Agency will join companies around the globe in opening its doors to employees’ furry, four-legged friends for Pet Sitters International’s 19th annual Take Your Dog To Work Day (TYDTWDay ®).

TYDTWDay ® was established by Pet Sitters International (PSI) in 1999. This annual event urges businesses around the globe to experience the joy of dogs in the workplace for a day, celebrate the great companions dogs make and to promote adoptions from local shelters, rescue groups and humane societies.

“We see this event as a way to recognize the important role dogs play in our employees’ lives and an opportunity to make a positive impact on our local community,” said Scott Brandon, CEO of The Brandon Agency. “My dog always comes to the office with me, so much that he has become the company mascot. We pride ourselves on being a dog friendly agency because we understand the benefits and morale boost you get when you have your best friend by your side. We are excited to host this day for our employees and the community and see all of our four-legged friends play together.”

The agency anticipates about 15 dogs to join the fun on June 23 and has a variety of activities planned, including a Lunch & Learn with local pet sitting company, Ultimate Pet Services LLC, that will discuss the importance of using a Professional Pet Sitter and other pet related topics. Ultimate Pet Services LLC will also provide pet sitters for potty breaks and playtime during the event. With the help of Bridgett Hudson, CPPS, Adoption Ambassador for the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, employees that do not have a dog, but still want to participate, can “rent” an adoptable dog for event. All proceeds benefit the Humane Society.

“One work day can change a pet’s entire life,” says Patti Moran, President of Pet Sitters International. “When companies like The Brandon Agency join in the TYDTWDay celebration, they not only provide an enjoyable perk for their employees”they also increase community ties and raise awareness of local pets in need of a forever home.”
